How do I book an appointment?

How much does a tattoo cost?
Tattoo pricing varies based on size, placement, and detail. Most pieces are quoted by the hour, while others are priced by design. During your consultation, we’ll give you a clear estimate so you know what to expect. Quality tattoos are an investment that lasts a lifetime.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A small non-refundable deposit is required to book your appointment. This deposit goes toward your final tattoo cost and ensures your time is reserved. If you need to reschedule, please give advance notice so your deposit can transfer to your new appointment.
How should I prepare for my tattoo session?
Get plenty of rest, eat a good meal, and stay hydrated before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the tattoo area. Avoid alcohol, aspirin, or anything that may thin your blood. Arriving prepared helps your tattoo session go smoothly.
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
Yes, tattoos involve some level of discomfort, but pain varies by placement and personal tolerance. Areas with more muscle tend to be less painful, while spots near bone or thin skin may be more sensitive. Most clients say the experience is manageable, and the result is worth it.
How long does it take a tattoo to heal?
Initial healing usually takes about 2–3 weeks, though full skin recovery can take up to a month. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully and maintains its vibrancy.
What aftercare steps should I follow?
Keep your tattoo clean and lightly moisturized, avoid direct sun, pools, and hot tubs, and never pick at peeling skin. We’ll make sure you understand your aftercare instructions before you leave the studio. Proper aftercare is the key to a tattoo that looks great for years.
What styles do you specialize in?
With over two decades of experience, Keith Johnson at Camino Tattoo Studio works in nearly every style: American Traditional, Neo-Traditional, New School, Black & Grey Realism, Portraits, Illustrative, and Custom Design. Each tattoo is crafted to fit your vision and body placement.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We understand life happens. If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance so we can transfer your deposit. No-shows or last-minute cancellations may forfeit the deposit.
What is the minimum age for a tattoo?
In New Mexico, clients must be at least 18 years old with valid ID to get tattooed. Minors over 16 with parental consent may be considered at artist’s discretion.
